Hello and welcome to our bed and breakfast in bonnie Birnam.
Here in Birnam we can offer you a great get away from it all or a short stop over, the choice is yours. Ideally situated for transport links – Dunkeld and Birnam railway station is ¼ mile away, 50 yards from the main bus stop ( local, city link etc ), half a mile off main A9.
Although we are close to all transport links we are situated 80 yards off main road down a paviored drive with ample parking, so although near everything the house is in a very tranquil spot. All rooms are en suite and ground floor.
Dunkeld which has local shops and produce, Cathedral and tourist information is half a mile away.
The Birnam institute is located 500 yards away from us and regularly hosts event shows, plays, etc. It also houses the Beatrix Potter exhibition along side the Beatrix Potter garden.
The Birnam hotel is widely used for weddings, functions as well as everyday food and drinks.
A short walk will take you to the leafy river tay where the last remaining oak as mentioned in Shakespeare’s Macbeth can be seen.
Cycle paths run from Dunkeld to Pitlochry.
The area hosts an eighteen hole golf course and fishing permits are available locally.
Dunkeld Hilton has leisure facilities, off road quads etc. Loch of the Lowes is a nature reserve which has Lady, the osprey coming back year after year.
